The Puget Sound Slammers 98 started the tournament off by winning their first game against Sparta 98, 5-1. Bella and Taylor were offensively unstoppable. Sparta had to fight hard to try to get past powerful defenders Addie and Sidney.
Next up the Puget Sound Slammers 98 faced a tough Nor Point FC team but came out on top with a score of 3-0. Alicia and Devyn had one great pass after the next. Lucy and Cierra both showed great speed and dedication to win the game and shut down the Nor Point attackers.
The third game paired up the Puget Sound Slammers 98 against tournament hosts, Rainier Valley Slammers who were very aggressive. Charlie and Mackenzie showed amazing teamwork searching out pass after pass. Grace fought hard to keep possession of the ball and look for dangerous passing lanes. Madison’s speed and tenacity found her winning ball after ball which led to a 1-0 win.
Next up was the Championship final against a tough Kent United Green. Olivia denied any balls that came her way in the goal. Ariana after an injury in the previous game showed impressive dedication to her team. Keanna who has been out with an injury, showed remarkable inspiration and commitment to her teammates by her support from the sidelines. All of this led to a 2-0 victory and a Championship
